Bhangarh fort | India's most haunted place

 Bhangarh fort located in the Alwar district of Rajasthan is said to be the  most haunted place in India because of the numerous ghostly experiences in the fort's premises. It was built by the ruler of amber, Raja Bhagwant Singh, in 1573 AD for his younger son Madho Singh. Many tales are told among the villagers for the occurrence of paranormal activities in the fort. the curse of a trantrik and a place lost in shade.                               

Curious travellers come in order to feel the abnormality of the fort. Some experiences it while the others go back with great disappointment.  The most familiar stories said among these tales are
A TRANTRIK'S CURSE
                           According to legends Princess Ratnavati was well known across the borders for her charming beauty and attractive eyes. When she turned 18 many suitors from all over the states asked for her hand in marriage. Of all these suitors a wizard named Sinhai adept in black magic fell in love with the Princess. To make the Princess fall in love with him he bewitched a cosmetic which she was supposed to use. However, ratnavati glimpsed his trick and throwed it on a massive rock that accordingly rolled onto the wizard and crushed him to death. Before the Tantrik breathed his last breath, he placed a curse upon the entire landscape that no soul would ever be able to in peace there.  From then the whole place around the bhangarh fort has been haunted since. 

THE PLACE LOST IN SHADE

        Another legend claims that the king Madho Singh, who raised the fort after obtaining the approval from an ascetic named Guru Bala Nath who used to meditate there. The saint gave his approval on behalf of the condition that the shadow of the Emperor's Palace should never fall upon the home of the ascetic. If in case it did the whole city would crumble into ruins. Once the construction was completed, the retreat of the ascetic was shadowed by the palace unfortunately. Once it came to pass the whole Bhangarah is doomed within no time and the city could never be rebuillt. 

BHANGRAH FORT AT NIGHT
                         No one is allowed inside the fort after sunset or before sunrise. The villagers around the fort claimed that they could hear unexplainable noises at night. They also claimed to have heard of a women screaming and crying, breaking of bangles and a peculiar music emerging from the fort every night. There have been where a special perfume was emanating from the Bhangrah fort along with inexplicable lights. It is believed that if someone enters the fort after sunset, they will never come out of the fort. The doors are therefore always been locked after sunset and entry into the fort is strictly prohibited. 

Is the Bhangrah fort really haunted? Only ghost hunters can answer this question.
