The secret of the haunted well

            There lived a girl named Lily with her father and mother as a family in the United States. Lily was a little girl of class 7. Since she was in her vacations her parents could not control her naughtiness. So they sent Lily to her grandparent's house. Since it was a village and there were no children of her age she was bored at first. But as days passed by she was very curious in wandering around the fields and going around the gardens. One day while she was playing in her garden she noticed a dry land nearby. she questioned her grandmother why that land alone is dry?. Her grandmother replied, "why are you asking about that land?. No one will go for work there and also you should not go to that place". Hearing this Lily's curiosity to visit that place increased. One day when her grandparents were working in the fields, Lily went to that place without telling anyone.

            There she saw a well which was fully closed with wood. Since the wood was worn out, it was easy for her to take off the wood and open the well. She wanted to check whether there is water available in the well. So she took a stone and threw it inside. After a long fall, she was able to get the sound of water. Lily became happy and threw more stones into the well. Finally, when she threw the last stone she heard something different like someone shouting continuously. With anxiety and fear, slowly she looked into the well.

           There was nothing. But she could feel someone touching her shoulder. When she turned back it was her grandfather. His face was furious. He pulled Lily away and shouted her for coming to this place. Immediately, he placed all the wood on the well again and closed it. He took Lily Home and warned her not to go there again. Slowly it became dark. Lily's grandparents were in fear of what is going to happen this night. With that fear, they both went to their room. Lily also went to her room. While lying in her bed Lily was again remembered of the well. So again she went to the well. To her surprise the well was open. Again she looked into the well and shouted, "Is anyone inside the well? If there please tell me".There was a voice screaming "please help me! Get me out of here". Hearing this Lily got frightened and Came a little bit away from the well. While she was standing in fear, At that time a hand with long nails came out of the well and tried to catch her. Out of fear she ran from that place, went to her room, and closed the door. But that hand was calling her from the window. She started screaming and woke up but It was just a dream. She woke up from her bed and started walking towards the window. Slowly she moved the curtain, there was an impression of a hand with big nails.

         With full of fear, she started screaming. Hearing her scream her grandparents came to her room. She explained everything happened here. They were shocked on hearing this and warned her not to go there again never hereafter. After this incident her curiosity to know about that well increased. She was waiting for the right time. And the time also came for her when her grandparents were busy working in their fields. Without telling anyone she went near the well and took all the woods placed on it. Again she questioned, is anyone there inside the well?. There was no answer, but before her grandparents could notice the villagers noticed her opening the well. They ran towards her and started scolding her saying do you know what you have done? don't you know you shouldn't come here? Didn't your grandfather say you? because of your carelessness, this village is going in trouble this night. By this time Lily's grandparents came there and the villagers started questioning them but Lily's grandparents took her home. Soon all the villagers closed the well using lots of wood and went to their houses. They closed all the doors and windows of their houses and stayed there. No one came out even in the evening. Soon it became dark, but everyone was awake.

           No one slept, in fact, everyone was in fear of what is gonna happen this night. Suddenly, they could hear something like someone screaming out for help. The noise became louder and louder and it prolonged for a long while, but no one came out of their house. Everyone was in terrific fear. By this time the sun rose up. Everyone came out of their house and started checking their neighbors. To all of their shock, a whole family was missing. All the villagers ran towards the well. As they expected, the family's clothes were lying near the well with marks of blood and the well was open.

         The villagers went to Lily's grandfather's house and argued about the death of a whole family because of Lily. Lily was so much confused that what is happening. So she started questioning her grandmother like what is happening here, grandma? why everyone is angry on me? what did I do? Is opening that well wrong? please tell me what's happening here. Now her grandmother told her something shocking. Before some years when things were going well there came a beautiful girl to this village.

          She was that much beautiful that all the men in the village fell in love with her. But she wasn't the girl that everyone expected. she hypnotized all the men in the village with her Blackmagic and killed them for no reason. As she was unbeatable by strength no one in the village could defeat her. so all the villagers decided to call a priest so that there won't be any deaths hereafter because of her.
          As decided before a priest was called and she was finally put to death by pushing her into the well. All were in great relief from her. But that was not her end. As days passed by, people were found dead near the well in a strange way. Day by day the deaths happening near the well increased. So all the villagers gathered, did many religious rituals, and closed the well which she opened now. Hearing this Lily realized her mistake.

           But her fear about the well increased. Lily's grandparents sent her back to her home. But she cannot rid of the thoughts of the well. Days passed by, Lily soon completed her high school. Now she wants to see her grandparents. So she called her grandmother and said, "grandma I want to see you can I come there for this vacation?".  Saying this she was waiting for her grandmother's reply.

            But she heard something different from the other side of the phone.  With fear, she gave the phone to her mother.  Her mother got the phone and said, "hello". There was a voice saying when are you going to send your daughter here? I killed everyone in this village. I'm waiting for your daughter now. Send her soon. Hearing this Lily's mother was horrified. But still, the evil monster is waiting for her...........
